Glasgow Cosmic Unveils Star-Studded Squad for ETPL 2026

Glasgow, May 24: The European T20 Premier League (ETPL) has announced its inaugural season, featuring the star-studded team ‘Glasgow Cosmic.’ This team includes some of the biggest names in international cricket alongside Scotland’s finest players.

The Glasgow Cosmic roster boasts renowned players such as Finn Allen, Liam Livingstone, Josh Philippe, Moises Henriques, Kamindu Mendis, Keshav Maharaj, Lungi Ngidi, Gerhard Erasmus, Duan Jansen, and Ali Khan. Additionally, Scotland’s captain Richie Berrington and Scottish cricket star George Munsey are also part of the team.

The first season of the ETPL will take place from August 26 to September 20. Earlier this month, a program held in Dublin completed the list of six teams participating in the league. The teams include Dublin Guardians, Glasgow Cosmic, Amsterdam Flames, Edinburgh Castle Rockers, Belfast, and Rotterdam, with a total of 33 matches scheduled among them.

Rahul Dravid owns the Dublin franchise, while Vipul Agarwal (Chairman of Mugafi Group) and Tansha Batra are the franchise owners. Rashid Khan is associated with the Mugafi Group as CEO. This franchise aims to blend international experience with local representation in the tournament.

Glasgow Cosmic’s goal is to contribute to the development of cricket in Scotland by fostering community engagement, grassroots initiatives, and enhancing local cricket infrastructure.

The ETPL received approval from the International Cricket Council (ICC) on November 27 last year, marking a historic collaboration among the cricket boards of Ireland, Scotland, and the Netherlands. This initiative aims to advance the sport and give European cricket a new identity on the global stage.

The ETPL has attracted some of the most prestigious names in global cricket and sports as franchise owners. The Amsterdam team is supported by legendary Australian cricketer Steve Waugh and hockey star Jamie Dwyer, with Mitchell Marsh serving as the team’s captain. Glen Maxwell, the Australian all-rounder, is a co-owner of the Belfast franchise, while Edinburgh is led by New Zealand internationals Kyle Mills and Nathan McCullum, with Mitchell Santner as captain.
