Faridabad, September 28 (Daily Kiran) : A young girl was rescued after falling into a borewell in Faridabad, Haryana, early Monday morning. Despite the successful rescue, she was immediately hospitalized due to her serious condition.
The incident occurred in the Sihi village area of Sector 8 on Sunday evening. After the girl fell into the borewell, authorities were notified, prompting the deployment of the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF). A joint operation was launched late into the night, involving the NDRF, SDRF, Haryana Fire Service, and the medical department, along with local municipal support.
After several hours of intense efforts, rescue teams managed to pull the girl from the borewell. However, due to her critical state, she was rushed to the hospital for urgent medical attention.
NDRF Deputy Commandant Kunal Tiwari informed the media that the incident was reported around 6 PM, with their control room receiving the alert at 7:45 PM. Their team arrived at the scene at approximately 9:05 PM from Ghaziabad. Tiwari described the operation as a collaborative effort that included support from Haryana police, SDRF, and local medical personnel.
The rescue operation concluded around 3:50 AM. Tiwari indicated that the borewell was between 250 to 300 feet deep, with water present at about 125 feet. This posed a significant challenge, as the water obscured visibility and made it difficult to assess the girl’s condition.
He emphasized that the success of the rescue was largely due to the support from local authorities, stating that the administration provided all necessary resources throughout the operation.
Tiwari expressed gratitude for the cooperation received from various agencies, which was crucial in executing a successful rescue mission.
