New Delhi, July 2: BJP National Spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari has launched a scathing attack on the Gandhi-Vadra family, claiming that their true agenda is not politics but the illegal acquisition of people’s land.
During a press conference, Bhandari stated, “You are well aware of Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and Robert Vadra. Priyanka Vadra is a Congress leader, while Robert Vadra faces multiple allegations of land grabbing. Investigative agencies like the Enforcement Directorate are probing several related cases, with many pending in various courts. Today, I want to highlight an issue that reflects the true model of the Gandhi-Vadra family. Their main objective is not politics or business, but to seize land from ordinary people. We refer to this as the ‘Gandhi-Vadra model,’ where they occupy land and thereby increase their wealth.”
He pointed out a specific case in Udham Singh Nagar’s Kichha, where a four-acre plot is registered under the name of Kalsoom Khan. Bhandari noted that Kalsoom’s 90-year-old sister, Nasreen Khan, resides there. Despite claiming to advocate for Muslims, the Gandhi-Vadra family does not hesitate to encroach upon anyone’s land.
Bhandari questioned the Congress Party, which positions itself as a champion for Muslims and the poor. He asked, “When it comes to the Gandhi-Vadra family’s interests, they do not spare even their own voter base. They attempted to seize land from a 90-year-old woman. This is not an isolated incident; similar allegations have surfaced against the Gandhi-Vadra family in several Congress-ruled states. Therefore, we directly ask Priyanka Vadra and Robert Vadra: Why do you want to grab the land of a 90-year-old woman when the original documents are not even in your name? This clearly indicates that the Gandhi-Vadra family aims to seize land from the poor using their goon-like legislators.”
He also referenced the National Herald case, where the family allegedly attempted to convert properties belonging to freedom fighters into their private assets. “The public must remain vigilant. The Gandhi-Vadra family is known for land grabbing and can target any poor, elderly, woman, or common citizen’s land,” he warned.
Bhandari emphasized that whenever Robert Vadra is involved in land deals or attempts to occupy land, he receives political backing from Priyanka Vadra. He posed a direct question to Priyanka, who advocates for women’s rights and famously declared, “I am a girl, I can fight.” He asked, “To what extent will the Gandhi-Vadra family go to illegally occupy the land of their own sister-in-law? Did Priyanka Vadra call that legislator? The public must understand that if the Gandhi-Vadra family sets their sights on any land, they will send goons to intimidate the owner until they relinquish it.”
He detailed the intimidation faced by 90-year-old Nasreen Khan, who is being pressured to vacate her four acres of land. Bhandari stated that this would allow the Gandhi-Vadra family to claim that the original occupant is absent, facilitating their illegal occupation.
“This is not just my claim; Nasreen Khan herself stated this yesterday. She mentioned that when a Congress legislator arrived at her land, which Saira Vadra allegedly wanted to occupy, she was present there. Nasreen Khan said, ‘Some Congress people came, and they are trying to seize my fields for the Vadra family,'” Bhandari concluded.
