Tirunelveli, April 1: The political climate in Tamil Nadu is heating up as the assembly elections approach. Candidates are ramping up their campaigns, engaging with the public, and making appealing promises.
Recently, former MLA Reddirpatty Narayanan, who resigned from the AIADMK, arrived at Nellai railway station on Wednesday morning after joining the Tamilaga Vetrik Katchi (TVK). TVK has announced Narayanan as their candidate for the Nanguneri constituency. Upon his arrival at the station, he was greeted with great enthusiasm by TVK workers.
Following the warm welcome, Narayanan shared his thoughts, stating, “My political journey began at the grassroots level as a consultant, branch secretary, and panchayat president. Even today, people show me special care and affection. I hoped for another chance in the 2021 assembly elections, but that opportunity was taken from me.”
He continued, “In 2026, I faced a similar situation where the opportunity was denied once again. I do not wish to criticize my former party. After leaving that movement, my dear brother and district secretary Rajagopal invited me to join TVK, saying, ‘Brother, join us and continue your service through our victory movement.’ Accepting his invitation, I met with General Secretary Bussy Anand. Former minister Sengottaiyan also reached out to me with encouraging words.”
Narayanan expressed gratitude, saying, “When I joined TVK, they honored me by making me the candidate for Nanguneri. They blessed me to work alongside TVK workers as a fellow soldier and offered their full support for a certain victory. We are confident that our leader Thalapathy Vijay will definitely come for the campaign in Nanguneri. I believe I can win this seat by a margin of 50,000 votes.”
