A deadly fire broke out at a nightclub in Goa, claiming the lives of 25 people. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. Meanwhile, a video has surfaced on social media showing people enjoying a cabaret dance performance to the song “Mahbuba-Mahbuba” when suddenly flames appeared on the ceiling. The fire quickly spread throughout the club within minutes.

A Kazakh dancer performing at the nightclub shared her harrowing experience, revealing how she narrowly escaped the blaze. Overcome with emotion, she broke down while recounting the incident. The professional dancer, Christina, said she was giving her second performance at the Birch by Romeo Lane nightclub when the fire started, apparently due to a short circuit. She described how the music stopped abruptly, leaving her confused and terrified as she searched for an escape route while trembling and crying.
Following the incident, the club’s owner Saurabh Luthra and general manager Vivek Singh were arrested. Additionally, three senior officials from the Goa government, including the then Panchayat director, were suspended on Sunday. They were suspended for their roles in granting operational permission to the nightclub in 2023, according to a senior official.

Among the tourists, four were from Delhi, including three members of the same family, and one was from Karnataka.
