Mumbai, June 15: The Telugu web series ‘Isakapattanam’ is generating significant buzz in the OTT space. Starring Samuthirakani and Aishwarya Rajesh in lead roles, the trailer was unveiled at an event in Hyderabad on Monday, heightening audience anticipation.
‘Isakapattanam’ is a seven-episode crime thriller produced under the banner of Tamada Media Productions by Rahul Tamada and Saidip Reddy Bora. The series features a talented ensemble cast, including Sunil, Naresh Agastya, Merin Philip, Sudhakar Komakula, Rajeev Kanakala, Mime Gopi, Rohini, Banerjee, Jwala Koti, Ravi Verma, and Raja Chembolu in pivotal roles.
Set in a fictional port city, ‘Isakapattanam’ explores the intersection of crime, politics, and loyalty among its inhabitants. The power struggles within the city propel the narrative forward. Each character grapples with their ambitions or constraints, adding depth to this compelling crime drama.
Director Gary BH shared his insights on the project, stating, “While this series is set in a fictional world, the characters and their emotions feel very real. The story powerfully depicts themes of greed, ambition, love, loss, and revenge. It is filled with twists that keep viewers surprised and engaged until the very end. Working on this project has been a fulfilling experience, and I hope the audience feels a connection to this world.”
Lead actor Samuthirakani discussed his character ‘Naidu’, expressing, “What attracted me most to this show was the depth of its story and the complexity of my character. It’s not just an action or crime drama; it also showcases how greed, revenge, and ambition can alter a person’s decisions. This role offers a unique experience in my career, and I hope the audience appreciates this new facet of my work.”
Actress Aishwarya Rajesh described her character ‘Bharti’ as both challenging and rewarding. She remarked, “This role portrays a strong woman who remains steadfast in difficult situations. The character’s strength and emotional depth make her feel very real. This role allows me to explore new aspects of acting.”
The web series ‘Isakapattanam’ will be available for streaming on Prime Video starting July 2.
