Varanasi, August 13: Uttar Pradesh‘s Water Power Minister, Swatantra Dev Singh, announced that a nationwide Tricolor Rally is being held in response to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call. He claimed that during the Congress and Samajwadi Party (SP) regimes, the Tricolor was not respected. However, PM Modi raised the nation’s pride by hoisting the flag at Lal Chowk in Srinagar, even in the face of terrorism.
Singh praised the Tricolor Rally in Varanasi, stating that under the Yogi government, nine lakh jobs have been filled transparently. He emphasized that today’s youth in Uttar Pradesh are not just seeking jobs but are also creating employment opportunities.
“Following PM Modi’s call, the Tricolor Rally is being organized across the country. Under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s leadership, this rally began on August 9 from Lucknow. The party has decided to hold these rallies in every major city and at the divisional level. On August 15, we will celebrate our independence. From Rani Lakshmibai to Mangal Pandey, many freedom fighters sacrificed their lives for this flag. I pay tribute to all those brave martyrs,” Singh said.
He further stated, “During the Congress era, the Tricolor was not respected. People were afraid to sing ‘Vande Mataram,’ and the SP was also intimidated. Terrorists challenged us to hoist the flag, and PM Modi bravely did so at Lal Chowk in Srinagar. He declared that he would not let this nation bow down or perish.”
The Water Power Minister noted, “Even today, the Tricolor flies proudly at Srinagar Chowk. When PM Modi travels abroad, he raises the Tricolor and chants ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai.’ In honor of our freedom fighters, we are ensuring that the Tricolor is in every home, in every hand, and in every family. When PM Modi lands in London, the Tricolor is respected there too, with people chanting for Bharat Mata.”
He added that today’s youth stand with PM Modi and are committed to India’s development. In Uttar Pradesh, unlike during the SP’s rule, there are no exam leaks. Students are now excelling academically. A participant in the police recruitment from Mainpuri shared that during the SP’s regime, his brother had to pay a bribe of ten lakh rupees for recruitment. “Today, not a single rupee is needed. This is the Yogi government, where nine lakh jobs have been filled without any bribes.”
Regarding the Tricolor Rally in Varanasi, he remarked, “People filled the streets with enthusiasm. Workers, school children, and members of social organizations came out to welcome the rally. The excitement and energy were palpable, creating a remarkable scene. This is PM Modi’s constituency, and I salute the people of this land.”
