Lucknow, August 13: Under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the Uttar Pradesh government is intensifying its efforts to expedite the resolution of pending revenue cases. This initiative is part of the government’s commitment to swift justice and effective resolution of public issues. Regular monitoring and special campaigns at the administrative level are yielding positive results in the statistics of revenue case resolutions.
As of December 31, 2025, there were 28,556 cases pending under Section 24 related to boundary demarcation. From January 1 to July 31, 2026, 91,472 new cases were registered, out of which 39,645 have been resolved. Currently, 80,383 cases remain pending, with only 24 cases older than five years. The districts with the highest number of pending cases under Section 24 include Prayagraj, Pratapgarh, Lucknow, Amethi, and Mathura.
Significant progress has also been made in the resolution of cases related to name changes and entries under Section 34. By December 31, 2025, there were 48,910 pending cases. Between January 1 and July 31, 2026, a staggering 1,470,133 cases were processed, with 1,096,814 cases resolved. Additionally, during a special campaign from June 15 to June 25, 2026, aimed at resolving cases pending for over 45 days, 221,667 cases were settled.
In matters concerning land use changes under Section 80, 28,797 cases were filed between January 1 and July 31, 2026, while 49,855 cases were resolved. Notably, there are no pending cases older than five years in this category.
The Yogi government is placing a strong emphasis on the swift resolution of old and pending cases in revenue courts. The data indicates that the pace of resolving pending cases has increased through special campaigns, regular reviews, and technology-based monitoring. The government’s goal is to ensure timely justice for the public and provide a transparent and efficient system for revenue-related matters.
