
New Delhi, March 8: On International Women’s Day, the ‘Bharati Nari Se Narayani’ program was held in New Delhi. Women, social activists, MPs, spiritual leaders, and prominent figures from various fields gathered for this event. The conference aimed to discuss women’s power, their roles, and their growing contributions to society.
During the event, India’s ambassador and former UN Assistant Secretary-General, Lakshmi Puri, extended her wishes to all women and girls on International Women’s Day. She expressed her pride in attending this unique conference, which brought together women and girls from different parts of India. Such platforms provide women with opportunities to voice their opinions and learn from one another.
Rajya Sabha member Rekha Sharma also conveyed her greetings for International Women’s Day. She noted that these events are organized in a very systematic manner, with women participating alongside their families, fostering a positive atmosphere. She emphasized the inclusion of women MPs and leaders in discussions, providing them with opportunities to engage in meaningful conversations.
Businesswoman Shashi Buwana highlighted that every woman faces different circumstances and challenges, regardless of their socio-economic background. She pointed out that the conference’s uniqueness lies in the participation of women from all walks of life, sharing their experiences.
Spiritual leader Daya Shankar shed light on women’s strength and their historical significance. He stated that at the beginning of creation, the Supreme Being imparted knowledge of the four Vedas, which mention several female sages who served as seers of mantras. He asserted that the foundation of the world has always been recognized as the maternal force.
BJP MP Sumitra Balmiik announced a significant event held at Vigyan Bhawan on International Women’s Day. She mentioned that Delhi’s Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and V. Shanta Akka, Director of the Rashtriya Sevika Samiti, provided guidance during the program. Women showcased the country’s cultural, national, political, and traditional heritage with pride.
BJP MP Sandhya Verma extended her wishes to all mothers, sisters, and women on Women’s Day. She noted that the theme ‘Nari Se Narayani’ reflects the rising power and empowerment of women in the country. Today, women in India are making their mark in every field.
Rajya Sabha member Kavita Patidar praised the Rashtriya Sevika Samiti for organizing this event. Prominent spiritual guru Anandmurti Gurumaa remarked that every day is considered a day of respect for women in India. He noted that the Navratri festival, celebrated twice a year, symbolizes the worship of divine feminine power. Yogini Mukti Nath added that Indian women not only give birth but also nurture their children according to Indian values, guiding them in the right direction. She stated that it is believed in Indian tradition that God writes a child’s destiny on the day of their birth.
