
Mumbai, April 10: In a significant move for the Indian film industry, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has announced the appointment of actor and politician G. Krishnakumar as the part-time chairman of the National Film Development Corporation (NFDC).
On this occasion, Bhojpuri singer and member of the Rashtriya Janata Dal, Khesari Lal Yadav extended his congratulations to G. Krishnakumar.
Khesari shared a photo on social media showing Krishnakumar feeding him sweets. In the caption, he wrote, “Heartfelt congratulations to Mr. Krishnakumar on becoming the chairman of NFDC. As part of the film family, it brings me immense joy to see a senior and mentor like you take on this responsibility. We are confident that your experience and passion for cinema will guide the entire film industry in a new direction.”
Khesari Lal Yadav has consistently advocated for the advancement of Bhojpuri cinema. He has also spoken about the need for development in Bihar and improvements in the Bhojpuri industry from a political platform. The actor has high hopes for G. Krishnakumar.
It’s noteworthy that since losing the Bihar elections, Khesari has distanced himself from politics and shifted his focus entirely to his work. His new film “Agnipariksha” has been released, and he continues to launch new songs. Recently, his tracks “Garmi Garam Bia,” “Roti Garam,” “Chubh Chubh Gade,” “Kamar Mein Daagi,” “Jhaar Liye Raja Ji,” and “Matar Ke Chemmi” have all garnered millions of views. His song “Palang Sangwan” has recently crossed 600 million views, featuring a stunning performance by Amrapali Dubey alongside him.
In addition to his music, Khesari is also appearing in films. His movies “Agnipariksha” and “Shri420” have been released. In “Agnipariksha,” he plays a serious role, while in “Shri420,” he entertains fans as a comedian.
