Chittorgarh, December 2 – The Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted a major operation in Kapasan sub-division of Chittorgarh district, Rajasthan on Tuesday in connection with a crores-rupee money laundering case involving the online gaming app ‘Joganiyaan’.
ED teams reached more than half a dozen locations in Kapasan city with police security and launched simultaneous raids. As news of the operation spread, hundreds of people gathered at various locations.
According to the ED, this operation is linked to an illegal online gaming platform called ‘Joganiyaan’, which was involved in converting black money into white through gambling and betting. The app lured users and extorted money from them, then encouraged large bets by creating the allure of winnings. Crores of rupees earned from this were circulated through money laundering into banks, crypto wallets and foreign accounts.
The investigating agency suspects that Balmukund Einani, a corporator of Kapasan municipality, is the mastermind behind this entire network. Einani already has about a dozen criminal cases registered against him at Kapasan police station, including charges of fraud, gambling and hooliganism. He had been under police surveillance for a long time and has now fled to Dubai. The ED believes he is running this illegal business from there.
During the raids, the ED seized several documents, mobile phones, laptops and bank records. Cash was also recovered from some locations, but the total amount will be disclosed later.
According to the ED, this is a national level case involving people from several states. The ED had received information that Einani had lured local youth to become agents of this app. In June 2025, Chittorgarh police had arrested three youth in connection with this scandal, who had named Einani. Now the ED has registered a case under the Money Laundering Act.
