New Delhi, June 29: The Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB) has announced a massive recruitment drive for various positions, including Junior Scientific Assistant, across different departments. The application process is currently open, and eligible candidates can apply until July 15.
Among the 1,979 vacancies, there are 44 positions for Junior Scientific Assistant (Biology) in the Forensic Science Laboratory, 18 for Junior Scientific Assistant (Ballistics), 37 for Junior Scientific Assistant (Chemistry), 12 for Junior Scientific Assistant (Lie Detection), 15 for Junior Scientific Assistant (Document), 5 for Junior Scientific Assistant (Human Resource Management/Quality Control), 14 for Junior Scientific Assistant (Photography), 81 for Junior Scientific Assistant (Cyber Forensics), 46 for Junior Scientific Assistant (Crime Scene/District Mobile Forensic Unit), 1 for Junior Scientific Assistant (Fingerprint), and 16 for Junior Scientific Assistant (Physics).
Additionally, the Delhi Archives Department has openings for 1 Technical Assistant (Hindi) and 4 Assistant Archivist Grade-I positions. The IT Department is offering 125 posts for IT Assistant Grade-A, while the New Delhi Municipal Council has 36 vacancies for Fitter Grade-II, 13 for Lift Operator, 15 for Assistant Operator and Mechanic (A/C), 37 for Sub Station Apprentice, 21 for Data Processing Assistant Grade ‘A’, and 2 for Data Entry Operator Grade ‘B’. The Directorate of Education is looking to fill 675 positions for Trained Graduate Teachers (Computer Science), 129 for Home Science Teachers, 163 for Trained Graduate Teachers (Special Education), and 450 for Primary Special Education Teachers. The Labor Department has 19 vacancies for Electrical Supervisors/Sub Inspectors.
The online application process commenced on June 16 at 12 PM, with the final date for submission set for July 15. Candidates wishing to apply for these positions can submit their registration forms on the DSSSB official portal before the deadline.
Applicants must possess relevant qualifications such as BE/B.Tech, B.Sc, MCA, Master’s Degree, 12th pass, Plumber Trade Certificate, Matriculation/Intermediate, ITI certificates, D.Ed, B.Ed, Graduation/3-year Diploma, Matriculation, and National Trade Certificate from recognized institutions or universities. Candidates should also have the required years of experience in their respective fields, along with other specified eligibility criteria and skills.
The minimum age for applicants is 18 years, while the maximum age varies between 27 to 37 years, depending on the position. The age will be calculated based on the application deadline. Candidates from reserved categories will receive age relaxation as per regulations.
Selection of eligible candidates will be based on a Computer-Based Test (CBT), one-tier General/Technical/Teaching examination, merit list, and document verification. The selected candidates will receive a monthly salary ranging from ₹5,200 to ₹1,42,400, depending on the position.
When filling out the application form, candidates must pay the prescribed application fee according to their category. The fee is set at ₹100 for General (UR)/OBC/EWS male candidates, while SC/ST/PWD/Ex-servicemen and women are exempt from the registration fee.
