Tehran, September 20 (Daily Kiran) : Tehran’s top security official, Mohsin Rezaei, has laid out seven conditions that the United States must meet before any discussions can resume between the two nations. In a recent post on his social media platform, Rezaei emphasized that if Washington wishes to extricate itself from the challenging situation it has created, it must adhere to Iran’s stipulations.
Rezaei, speaking to foreign media, indicated that Iran has communicated its conditions to intermediaries with the aim of ending hostilities with the U.S. He stated, “The U.S. President’s assessment of Iran has been misguided, and the conflict was instigated by Netanyahu. Accepting our conditions is in Washington’s best interest. Threats from Trump will yield no results; we are prepared for decisive warfare.”
According to reports from Iran’s Mehr News Agency, Rezaei noted that Iran is now better equipped to counter U.S. airstrikes, having gained insights into the vulnerabilities of American forces. He remarked that the U.S. withdrawal from prior agreements necessitated a strategic shift regarding Iran.
Rezaei confirmed ongoing discussions with mediators from Qatar and Pakistan, stating that they have conveyed Iran’s conditions for resuming talks. He mentioned that they are in contact with Qatari intermediaries, who have relayed Iran’s terms to Washington once again. These conditions include an end to hostilities on all fronts, the release of frozen assets, and the lifting of maritime blockades.
