Job Opportunities at NIT Silchar: Apply for Various Positions Before June 30

Dispur, June 28: A significant opportunity has emerged for youth preparing for jobs and waiting for vacancies. The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Silchar has invited applications from eligible citizens for various positions, including Medical Officer. There are only a few days left to apply, as candidates can submit their applications until June 30.

The seven vacancies announced by NIT include one each for Registrar, Librarian, Assistant Librarian, Executive Engineer, and Medical Officer, along with two positions for Technical Assistant.

The online application process commenced on June 1, and the final date for submission is set for June 30. Interested candidates wishing to apply for these positions can register on the official NIT Silchar portal before or by the deadline.

After successfully applying online, candidates must send a hard copy of their application in an envelope to the following address: “Registrar, National Institute of Technology Silchar, Post Office, NIT Silchar, Cachar, Assam – 788 010” by July 15 or earlier.

Applicants must possess specific qualifications: a postgraduate degree from a recognized university for the Registrar position, a master’s degree in Library Science/Information Science/Documentation for the Librarian and Assistant Librarian posts, a BE/BTech in Civil/Electrical Engineering for the Executive Engineer position, an MBBS degree or equivalent for the Medical Officer role, and a BE/BTech/MCA in a relevant subject for the Technical Assistant posts. Additionally, all candidates must have the required years of experience and other specified skills.

The maximum age limit for applicants ranges from 30 to 56 years, calculated based on the application deadline. Candidates from reserved categories will receive age relaxation as per regulations.

Selected candidates will receive salaries based on their respective positions, along with additional benefits and allowances.

While filling out the application form, candidates must pay the prescribed application fee online, which is set at ₹1,200 for UR/OBC/EWS candidates and ₹600 for SC/ST/PWD and women.
