
Mumbai, May 27: Renowned South Indian director Ravi Arasu is expanding his horizons by entering the production sector. He has officially launched his new production house, ‘Five Seas Films.’ The announcement was made via social media on Wednesday.
In his post on the platform X, the director expressed his excitement, stating, “Greetings to everyone. We are thrilled to announce the grand launch of our new production company, ‘Five Seas Films.’ This marks a new beginning and a fresh chapter. Our company is dedicated to delivering exceptional films while also nurturing new talent. We will always need your love, support, and best wishes. Some fantastic projects are already underway. Stay tuned for updates.”
Reflecting on his journey, Arasu shared, “I began my film career in 2004 as an assistant to director Vetrimaaran. This journey lasted for ten years. During this time, my passion for storytelling and artistry shaped me into a sensitive filmmaker.”
He also mentioned that he has directed two films, ‘Eetti’ and ‘Ayangaran.’ “After spending over 20 years in the Tamil film industry, 2026 marks a significant turning point in my career with the launch of my new production company, ‘Five Seas Films,’” he added.
Under the banner of ‘Five Seas Films,’ Arasu plans to produce films he directs. He stated, “Additionally, our company will provide opportunities for new and young filmmakers. Our goal is to create engaging and powerful stories that resonate with audiences.”
He concluded by expressing gratitude to his viewers, friends, family, and the media for their unconditional love and support over the years. “I hope and request that you continue to support me on this new journey. We will soon share details about our first production film.”
