Trump Claims Full Control Over Irans Strategic Maritime Routes Soon

Washington, August 21: U.S. President Donald Trump has asserted that America is on the verge of gaining full control over strategic maritime routes linked to Iran. He reiterated that Iran will never be allowed to acquire nuclear weapons.

In an interview with his former personal attorney, Michael Cohen, Trump defended his military actions against Iran. He acknowledged that these conflicts may lead to increased gasoline and energy prices for American citizens.

During the interview aired on 77 WABC Radio, Trump stated, “Regarding Iran, they will never have nuclear weapons. We are almost in control of these maritime routes and will soon have complete control. We are doing very well in dealing with Iran.”

Trump did not specify any particular maritime route but mentioned that Iran’s navy, air force, and leadership have been significantly weakened, complicating any potential agreements.

He noted, “Part of the problem is that many of their leaders are no longer around. Therefore, reaching an agreement is not easy. No one really knows who is in charge.”

Trump argued that preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons is so crucial that American consumers may need to bear some additional costs. He said, “I tell people that your energy costs may rise a bit, and gasoline might get a little more expensive. We need to take action in the Middle East because we cannot allow Iran to have nuclear weapons.”

The President claimed that Iran’s military capabilities have been “completely destroyed,” and it has lost much of its missile and drone production capacity. He also pointed to rising inflation, a weakening currency, and unpaid military personnel as signs of increasing pressure on Tehran.

“I took this step because we had no other choice. If necessary, I would do it a hundred more times. They cannot have nuclear weapons, and they will not have them,” he emphasized.

Trump defended the use of B-2 bombers on Iran’s nuclear facilities, stating that the operation was conducted late at night, and each bomb hit its target accurately. He explained, “When we attacked with the B-2 bombers, they were just two weeks away from acquiring nuclear weapons. That’s why I had to take this step; you cannot allow them to have such weapons.”

He claimed that if Iran were to acquire nuclear weapons, it could attack Israel and other Middle Eastern countries. He mentioned Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the UAE, Kuwait, and Bahrain as nations that would be targets of Iranian missiles.

He stated, “If it weren’t for Donald Trump, there would be no Israel. I believe the entire Middle East would have been devastated, and Israel would certainly have been finished.”

In the interview, Trump also discussed Venezuela, immigration, tariffs, and the U.S. economy. He claimed that tariffs are bringing back the production of automobiles, semiconductors, pharmaceuticals, and medical devices to America, describing the investment and construction activities as a “renaissance.”

Michael Cohen was Trump’s personal attorney and close associate for many years, but their relationship later soured publicly. Cohen eventually testified against Trump and became one of his prominent critics.
