Mumbai, August 21: Television actress Samiksha Bhatnagar is currently captivating audiences with her role as Shruti Ahuja in the popular TV series “Anupama.” She feels fortunate to portray such an interesting character and to work with Directors Cut Productions (DKP).
The actress shared, “’Anupama’ is already a well-loved show. When I was offered the role of Shruti Ahuja by DKP, I first took the time to understand the character. I felt it had depth and suited me well. This realization quickly convinced me to take on the role, and now viewers are enjoying it too.”
Bhatnagar elaborated on her character, stating, “Every role presents a new challenge, and Shruti Ahuja is no exception. She is a mother who must justify herself to her daughter. While she loves her daughter, she is not a negative character, and I want to ensure that people do not perceive her that way.”
She added, “I believe it is an actor’s responsibility to justify the character on screen.”
Whenever she receives a role offer, Bhatnagar emphasizes the importance of considering what new elements she can bring to the character. She explained, “When I am offered a role, it is crucial for me to understand what I can contribute to that character. As an actor, my understanding of the character becomes essential. For me, it is equally important to do justice to the role and ensure that the audience can connect with it.”
