Dilip Ghosh Critiques Congress Politics, Claims It Creates Problems Instead of Solutions

Kolkata, August 11: In response to student protests in Jharkhand, West Bengal minister Dilip Ghosh commented on Rahul Gandhi and the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDI). He accused Congress of focusing on creating problems rather than finding solutions.

During a media interaction, Ghosh addressed the use of tear gas and water cannons against protesting students in Jharkhand. He stated, “Students are taking to the streets not for political reasons but to fight for their interests. However, we do not see those who previously protested in Delhi. Students have the right to fight for their future, and any government that fails to protect their rights must be held accountable.”

Commenting on Rahul Gandhi’s absence from Jharkhand, Ghosh remarked, “This is the hallmark of Congress politics; they engage with people differently in each state. For instance, there has been significant conflict over the Krishna and Cauvery river water issues between Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. Even when Congress governed both states, these disputes remained unresolved. It was only when Atal Bihari Vajpayee became Prime Minister that he brought both parties to the table, resolving the issue in a single day. Congress is not about finding solutions; it is about creating problems. Rahul Gandhi travels everywhere inciting people for political gain, yet the Congress party is gradually shrinking.”

Ghosh further stated, “Rahul Gandhi never addresses real issues. When someone makes a controversial statement, he tries to gain popularity by responding instead of engaging in meaningful discussions.”
