Ranchi, August 11: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren addressed the recent student protests against alleged irregularities in the JPSC and JSSC examinations. He assured that the government would respond to the students’ demands with seriousness and sensitivity. Soren urged the youth to engage in dialogue and build trust to resolve the issues at hand.
In a message shared on social media, CM Soren thanked the administration and police for managing the situation during the protests. He praised their restraint, sensitivity, and responsibility in handling the events.
Addressing the protesting students, Soren emphasized their right to express their views in a democracy. He stated that it is the government’s responsibility to respect their voices. The Chief Minister reassured that the government has heard the students and that senior ministers have been in continuous dialogue with them. He promised that their demands would be taken seriously.
Soren highlighted that the government has made it clear that no one will be spared if found guilty. The aim is to address the systemic flaws that have caused difficulties for students in the past. He expressed the government’s intent to make the examination process more transparent, technology-driven, secure, and accountable, stressing the importance of student participation in these changes.
The Chief Minister also criticized the opposition, alleging that some members attempted to disrupt the peaceful student protests for political gain. He urged the youth not to be swayed by such political narratives.
Soren concluded by stating that students are the future of Jharkhand. It is the government’s duty to listen to their concerns and find solutions. He once again called for dialogue and trust to resolve the ongoing issues.
