New Delhi, August 11: The Russian Foreign Ministry has accused Ukraine of deliberately attacking areas populated by foreign nationals. The ministry claims that these actions aim to sever the bonds of brotherhood between Russia and its allied nations.
According to a report by the Russian news agency TASS, spokesperson Maria Zakharova stated that the majority of foreign citizens reside in Nizhnekamsk, and Ukraine has intentionally targeted this location. She asserted that Ukraine is violating norms by attacking civilians, with the intent of creating a rift between Russia and its allies.
The attack reportedly resulted in the deaths of at least 13 individuals, most of whom were foreign nationals. Initial reports indicate that among the deceased are eight citizens from Uzbekistan and one from Tajikistan. Additionally, around 20 foreign nationals sustained injuries.
In a statement released on the Foreign Ministry’s website, Zakharova remarked, “The neo-Nazis in Kyiv have deliberately targeted places where citizens of our allied nations live and work, aiming to disrupt the bonds of brotherhood among our people.”
She emphasized that the impact of these assaults extends beyond ordinary Russian citizens, affecting foreign nationals as well.
Zakharova expressed deep condolences to the families of the victims and wished for the swift recovery of the injured. She called on all members of the international community to condemn these barbaric acts by Ukrainian neo-Nazis.
Earlier, the Tatarstan administration reported that on August 10, the republic was attacked by enemy drones, resulting in the deaths of 13 people, including a child.
Officials noted that 78 individuals sought medical assistance, with 25 requiring hospitalization.
A criminal case has been filed under Article 205 of the Russian Criminal Code regarding the alleged attacks on industrial and civilian sites by Ukrainian armed groups in the Republic of Tatarstan. Following the incident, a day of mourning has been declared throughout the republic.
