Noida, August 11: A significant influx of devotees is being witnessed at temples in Noida and Central Noida on the occasion of Shivratri. Many Kanwariyas are arriving with holy water from Haridwar to perform rituals at their destinations.
As the day progresses, crowds are gathering at temples to offer water to Lord Shiva. In response, local authorities have implemented special security measures. Police forces are deployed at every corner of the temples and along the Kanwar procession routes.
Continuous monitoring is being conducted at sensitive locations using CCTV and drone cameras. Police patrols have been active since late last night to ensure a peaceful and safe observance of the Kanwar Yatra and Shivratri. Officers are regularly inspecting the procession routes and camps to assess arrangements. Special emphasis is placed on ensuring the safety of Kanwariyas and maintaining smooth traffic flow.
Under the direction of Police Commissioner Laxmi Singh, DCP Central Noida Shailendra Kumar Singh and ADCP Central Noida Satyendra Kumar Singh have overseen ground inspections of the Kanwar Yatra routes and camps in the Sector 63 area.
During these inspections, officials evaluated security measures, barricading, traffic management, parking, lighting, sanitation, drinking water, and medical assistance. They instructed relevant staff and departments to ensure that Kanwariyas and other devotees face no difficulties.
Necessary arrangements have also been mandated at Kanwar camps for the convenience of devotees. Police personnel were briefed to maintain vigilance and sensitivity during their duties. In this regard, DCP Noida Saad Miah Khan and ADCP Noida Manisha Singh supervised ACP-1 Noida Praveen Kumar Singh in inspecting the Kanwar Yatra routes and camps in the Sector 20 area.
During this inspection, the status of security arrangements, barricading, traffic operations, parking, lighting, sanitation, drinking water, and medical facilities was assessed. Police officials emphasized that the safety and convenience of devotees during the Kanwar Yatra are of utmost priority. Officers and staff on duty have been instructed to remain alert and prepared to handle any situation.
Police presence and patrols have been intensified at key locations. Special events are also being organized at temples for Shivratri. Since morning, devotees have been flocking to temples to pay their respects and perform water offerings to Lord Shiva. Kanwariyas will perform the rituals using the holy water they brought from Haridwar.
Given the increasing number of devotees, police are continuously monitoring crowd control and traffic management. The aim is to maintain law and order amidst the religious fervor of Shivratri and the Kanwar Yatra, ensuring a safe and smooth environment for all attendees. Security measures have been strengthened through CCTV, drone surveillance, police patrols, and stationed forces.
