Delhi Government Commits to Development of SC/ST Colonies: Minister Ravindra Indraj Singh

New Delhi, March 29: Minister Ravindra Indraj Singh of the Delhi government expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Rekha Gupta for the allocation of ₹80 crore for the improvement plan of Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe colonies.

The Minister for Social Welfare and the Welfare of SC/ST/OBC communities stated that this decision marks a significant step towards strengthening the social and civic infrastructure of the national capital.

He emphasized that the Delhi government is committed to its vision of “Developed Delhi, Prosperous Delhi” and is continuously working to enhance the living standards of every segment of society.

According to an official statement, a foundation stone was laid for various road and drainage development projects at Maharana Pratap Chowk in the Shahbad Dairy ward, along with the inauguration of completed concrete roads.

On this occasion, the Minister noted that the government’s aim is not only to complete development projects but also to ensure a dignified and happy life for every citizen.

He explained that this plan will lead to rapid development of essential civic infrastructure in SC/ST settlements. This includes the construction of paved roads, strengthening sewer systems, providing clean drinking water, building and improving drains, installing streetlights, and other necessary public facilities.

He stated that these improvements will significantly enhance the quality of life in these areas, bringing them in line with other developed colonies.

Development work has also commenced on key routes from JJ Cluster, D-Block, Shahbad Daulatpur (Dairy) to Rohini Sector-25 and from the main road of Prahlad Vihar Colony to Shahbad Dairy.

He further mentioned that these projects will not only improve local connectivity but also facilitate overall transportation in the region.

The Minister assured that all development works will be completed within the stipulated time frame and to high-quality standards, ensuring that residents face no inconvenience.
