New Delhi, April 3: ND Gupta, a Rajya Sabha MP from the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), addressed the ongoing Raghav Chadha controversy, stating that the party frequently makes such decisions and that this is not a significant change. He noted that Raghav has held his responsibilities for four years, and it is time to give someone else a chance.
Gupta explained that the party leadership has opted for a change. He emphasized that everyone in AAP works collaboratively, and such changes are common. He also mentioned that every MP in the party has the freedom to express their views on any issue. “You must have seen Raghav Chadha speaking in Parliament,” he added.
Regarding Chadha’s social media posts, Gupta stated he was unaware of them. He pointed out that there are other members in the Rajya Sabha, and not all deputy leaders are silent. “If the responsibility of the deputy leader has changed, it does not mean they have been silenced. Anyone can speak during Zero Hour without needing permission. In my opinion, Raghav speaks two to three times a week,” he said.
On Anurag Dhanda’s response to the Chadha controversy, Gupta remarked that the focus should be on national issues.
In response to Congress leader Kamal Nath’s statement regarding LPG, Gupta argued that it is incorrect to claim there are no problems facing the country. He noted that the government has formed a committee for monitoring, and rising prices are not solely the government’s fault. He attributed these issues to a global crisis that has significantly impacted manufacturing.
Gupta highlighted that nearly 67% of graduate youth are unemployed, with two out of three individuals without jobs. He attributed rising inflation to the crisis in West Asia.
