Tarik Anwar Criticizes Kamal Naths Remarks on LPG Crisis

New Delhi, April 3: Congress MP Tarik Anwar has responded sharply to senior party leader Kamal Nath’s comments regarding the LPG cylinder shortage. Anwar suggested that Nath should visit a gas agency to understand the situation better.

Kamal Nath, while supporting the Indian government’s stance on the LPG issue, claimed there is no shortage of cylinders and that only baseless rumors are being spread.

In an interview, Tarik Anwar expressed disbelief at Nath’s statement, calling it absurd. He emphasized the need to witness the reality firsthand, stating, “Just stand outside any gas agency, and you will realize whether there is a gas crisis or not.”

Anwar highlighted the distress faced by women who are unable to provide timely meals for their children, forcing kids to go to school without food. He noted that laborers are returning to their villages, fearing they can no longer sustain themselves in the city.

He expressed surprise at Nath’s comments given the widespread difficulties, stating that making such arguments is inappropriate.

Regarding Congress leader Anand Sharma’s praise for India’s diplomatic handling of the West Asia crisis, Anwar questioned the basis of such claims. He remarked that the general perception is that India has little involvement or influence in global events. If someone believes India’s foreign policy is commendable, it remains a personal opinion.

On AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi’s statements, Anwar criticized Owaisi for using language that benefits the BJP and sends a direct message to strengthen the party.
