Amit Shahs Rally Boosts BJP Candidates in Assam Ahead of Elections

Dudhnoi, April 3: In the lead-up to the Assam Assembly elections, BJP leaders and central ministers have taken charge of the campaign. On Friday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah addressed a rally in Dudhnoi, Golaghat district. During his speech, he criticized the Congress party on issues ranging from illegal immigration to the Uniform Civil Code (UCC).

Following Shah’s rally, BJP candidates expressed confidence that the atmosphere has shifted in favor of their party. Candidate Tankeshwar Rabha stated that the mood is filled with joy. “This is the first time the Home Minister has visited here. It is a moment of pride for us, and he has guided us. We will focus on development. The public stands with PM Modi,” he said.

On the topic of illegal immigration, Rabha emphasized its significance. He pointed out the presence of Bangladeshi immigrants who are infringing on the rights of the tribal community. “The number of indigenous people is dwindling due to the increasing number of immigrants. They have seized our culture and lands. Amit Shah has assured us that immigrants will be dealt with decisively,” he added.

Regarding the UCC, Rabha asserted that its implementation in Assam is crucial. He criticized Congress legislators for failing to work in their constituencies, claiming that the party does not support the indigenous population but instead protects immigrants. “The public is with development. The next government in Assam will be formed by the BJP,” he declared.

Another BJP candidate, Pabitra Rabha, remarked on the guidance received from Amit Shah, often referred to as the Chanakya of politics. “The public has a strong connection with the BJP. Only we can bring about development. We are on the path to victory,” he stated.

On the UCC, he expressed support for any decisions made by the government. He also noted that Congress’s influence in Assam is waning, predicting they will secure fewer than 20 seats in the upcoming elections.
