
Rajgir, April 4: In an impressive display of skill, Delhi’s hockey team triumphed over Gujarat with a staggering score of 30-0 during the fourth day of the 16th Hockey India Sub-Junior Men’s National Championship 2026. The matches took place at the Rajgir Hockey Stadium in Bihar.
On Saturday, Delhi showcased their dominance in Pool A of Division B. Siddharth led the charge with an extraordinary eight goals, scoring at 11’, 14’, 15’, 26’, 32’, and 47’. Aryan contributed five goals at 22’, 26’, 33’, 39’, and 51’. Both Sahrawat Sushant and Singh Yuvraj netted four goals each, while Rehan completed a hat-trick with goals at 12’, 30’, and 50’. Additionally, Love, Ibrahim Haroon, and Purushottam each added two goals to the tally.
In another match of the same division, Hockey Uttarakhand defeated Hockey Telangana 4-0. Aman Kumar shone with a hat-trick at 41’, 44’, and 53’, while Vikas Kashyap secured the victory with an additional goal at 45’.
Chhattisgarh Hockey also had a successful outing, beating Hockey Karnataka 4-1. Goals from Lavi Manikpuri (27’), Abhishek Yadav (29’), Mini Rohan (44’), and Om Kumar Yadav (60’) sealed the win, with Harshvardhan Naganaboina Vinayakshri scoring the lone goal for Karnataka at 4’.
In a Pool B match of Division C, Hockey Jammu and Kashmir edged out Hockey Rajasthan 2-1. Sukhpreet Singh opened the scoring at 10’, followed by another goal from Harmandeep Singh at 33’. Gurshan Singh managed to score for Rajasthan at 36’, but it was merely a consolation goal.
Later, in Pool A of Division C, Hockey Mizoram achieved a remarkable victory against Hockey Andhra Pradesh. Captain Joseph Malsawmtluanga led the team with a hat-trick at 26’, 30’, and 36’, while Jacob Lalvampuia added another goal at 36’.
In the final match of Pool B in Division B, Hockey Bihar defeated Hockey Himachal 3-1. Captain Abhay Singh scored two goals at 6’ and 11’, while Amritanshu Pandey added another at 28’. Pankaj Verma scored the only goal for Himachal at 31’.
The day concluded with an exciting 2-2 draw between Hockey Assam and Hockey Puducherry in Pool A of Division C. Captain Sajol Biswas scored both goals for Puducherry at 3’ and 29’, while Ritik (18’) and Manikandan (43’) found the net for Assam.
