Panaji, June 22: The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) and the National Institute of Oceanography (NIO) in Goa have issued an official notification inviting applications for various apprenticeship positions. A total of 27 vacancies are available for a one-year duration across different trades.
Among these openings, there are 4 positions for Technician (Diploma) apprenticeships and 23 for Graduate (Non-Engineering Degree) apprenticeships. The Technician (Diploma) roles include one position each for Civil Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineering, and Computer Engineering.
The Graduate (Non-Engineering Degree) apprenticeships consist of 10 positions in HR Management, Office Administration, Finance and Accounts, Stores and Purchase; 9 in Research and Development for Oceanography; and 1 position each in Library Sciences, Dispensary/Nursing, Guest House and Canteen Management, and Desktop Publishing.
Candidates will be selected based on a walk-in interview and document verification. Those chosen for the Technician (Diploma) apprenticeship will receive a stipend of ₹10,900 per month, while selected candidates for the Graduate (Non-Engineering Degree) positions will earn ₹12,300 monthly.
To be eligible for the Technician (Diploma) roles, candidates must possess a full-time three-year diploma in Engineering/Technology from a recognized technical education council or board. For the Graduate (Non-Engineering Degree) positions, candidates should hold a full-time graduate degree in the relevant field from a recognized university or institution. Additionally, all applicants must be registered on the official NATs or NAPs portal.
The minimum age for Technician (Diploma) apprentices is 18 years, with a maximum age of 24 years. For Graduate (Non-Engineering Degree) positions, the minimum age is 21 years, and the maximum is 26 years. Age calculations will be based on the date of the interview, with age relaxations applicable for candidates from reserved categories.
The walk-in interview will take place on July 6 at the CSIR-NIO headquarters, Lok Bhavan Road, Dona Paula 403004, Goa. Candidates are advised to report between 8:30 AM and 10:00 AM and bring original documents along with two self-attested photocopy sets.
