Controversy Surrounds Sarke Chunar Teri: Dr. Yoganand Giri Calls for Action Against Bollywood

Mirzapur, March 18: The controversy surrounding the song “Sarke Chunar Teri” from the film “KD: The Devil” continues to escalate. Religious and social organizations are now voicing their concerns. Dr. Yoganand Giri from Mirzapur has expressed strong objections to the lyrics and warned of a potential movement against the film industry.

In an interview, Dr. Giri stated that the double-meaning words used in the song clearly indicate the direction in which the film industry is leading society. He emphasized that such songs negatively impact the younger generation, which is a matter of great concern.

He asserted that it is the right of the people to express their anger and that protesting against such content is essential. Dr. Giri questioned why the censor board fails to ban such songs. He raised suspicions of possible corruption if the board does not take action in these matters.

Furthermore, Dr. Giri warned that the current protest is focused on just one song, but if such content continues, a larger movement against Bollywood will be initiated. He remarked, “Films are meant to convey positive messages to society, but many films today are crossing the boundaries of decency and values. There are fewer films left that can be watched with family.”

The song “Sarke Chunar Teri” has been embroiled in controversy since its release. Many have criticized its lyrics and dance as vulgar and obscene, leading the filmmakers to eventually remove the song from YouTube due to the mounting backlash.

Previously, several celebrities have voiced their discontent regarding the song. Singer Armaan Malik described it as a new low in songwriting, while actress and MP Kangana Ranaut accused Bollywood of crossing limits for cheap publicity.
