331 Children Infected with HIV in Pakistan: A Wake-Up Call for Health Standards

Islamabad, April 23: Pakistan’s global reputation is already fragile, and a recent incident in a government hospital in Punjab has dealt it another blow. Here, 331 children have been found infected with HIV.

According to a report by ‘Khalsa Vox’, this incident in Bhakkar has raised serious questions about the country’s priorities.

The report also mentions that the country’s intelligence agency, ISI, has long been accused of supporting Khalistani terrorists, criminals, and drug traffickers, further damaging the nation’s image.

The report indicates that many children received vaccinations using the same syringe, highlighting not just negligence but a significant weakness in the healthcare system.

It states, “This cannot be dismissed as a mere medical error. It reflects a system that is weak and where basic health protocols are not being followed. Injecting ten children with a single syringe either shows a lack of knowledge about the rules or a complete disregard for them, both of which are dangerous.”

The infection of 331 children with HIV is a grave matter. It is not just a statistic; it represents the lives of hundreds of innocent children whose futures have been compromised due to negligence. The report also notes that warning signs had been evident earlier, indicating that this issue did not arise suddenly but is the result of long-standing carelessness.

According to the report, this problem is not limited to one hospital or a few staff members; it reflects a failure of the entire system. Without strong oversight, accountability, and timely reforms, such incidents are likely to recur.

The report concludes that a country’s strength is not measured solely by its external appearance but by how well it ensures the basic safety of its citizens. If a nation cannot even provide safe vaccinations for its children, serious questions arise about its priorities.
