Lucknow, July 1: Awadhesh Prasad, a member of the Samajwadi Party, has sharply criticized the state government regarding the theft of donations intended for the Ram Temple.
In a recent conversation, Prasad expressed that the issue is far from trivial. It concerns the faith of millions across the nation and the world. He emphasized that the theft of offerings at Lord Ram’s temple is significant. “Our leader has raised this issue to send a message nationwide, but it is disappointing that the government remains indifferent even after so many days,” he stated.
Prasad further remarked that the investigation by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) seems to downplay the seriousness of the matter. “This is not just a state issue; it is a national concern. The entire country is discussing it, and the BJP is under scrutiny,” he added. He feels fortunate to have been born in Ayodhya and mentioned that he visits the temple whenever he can. “During my studies, I would often visit Mother Sita’s kitchen,” he recalled.
He called for the Supreme Court to intervene, asserting that no one involved would escape scrutiny from the team formed by the highest court. “The Chief Minister claimed we would distinguish between milk and water, but here, there is no milk, so where is the water?” he questioned, stressing the need for an impartial investigation.
Prasad insisted that the inquiry should be thorough enough to separate gold, silver, and bundles of cash. He highlighted the allegations of corruption in the temple’s construction, stating that these issues must be brought to light. “No matter how influential the accused may be, they cannot escape the gaze of Lord Ram. The theft of donations has harmed the faith, and Lord Ram will never forgive those responsible,” he concluded.
On a lighter note, he extended heartfelt birthday wishes to Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav, praying for his health and continued service to the people regarding the country’s issues.
