Congress MP Imran Masood Critiques Governments Foreign Policy and Ram Mandir Fund Controversy

New Delhi, June 28: Congress MP Imran Masood addressed various issues on Saturday, including the Ram Mandir fund controversy and India’s foreign policy. He stated that the country’s international standing has weakened compared to previous years.

Masood emphasized that the world has witnessed India’s past position and its current status. Sonia Gandhi, the leader of the Congress parliamentary party, presented facts related to foreign policy, claiming that the current government has ridiculed India’s diplomatic efforts.

In response to U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio’s statement, which referred to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and former President Donald Trump as close friends and hinted at Trump’s visit to India next year, Masood expressed strong disapproval. He accused the government of compromising India’s market and economic interests. He warned that if Indian traders and farmers suffer while the U.S. market thrives, it is only natural for American leadership to praise the Indian government.

Reacting to a recent statement by senior BJP leader Kailash Vijayvargiya regarding the RSS, Masood stated that it was an internal matter for them. However, he questioned the ideology of the RSS, asserting that any ideology that spreads hatred cannot be beneficial for the country or its citizens.

Masood launched a sharp attack on the alleged financial irregularities surrounding the Ram Mandir fund. He claimed that new individuals exploiting temples have emerged, and there is no fair investigation into the matter. He accused the government of attempting to shield the real culprits while targeting lower-level employees and associates who lack the capacity to execute such large-scale financial misconduct.

Regarding the appointment of Congress leader Rajendra Pal Gautam as the in-charge of Uttar Pradesh, Masood described it as an internal organizational decision. He highlighted Gautam as an influential Dalit figure, suggesting that his appointment would politically benefit the party and strengthen its organization.

Masood criticized the government for taking credit for positive achievements while avoiding responses to criticism.
