Congress Leaders Unite in Karnataka, No Confusion Over CM Selection: Sadanand Dangan

Hubli, May 28: Amid ongoing discussions regarding the Chief Minister position in Karnataka, Congress leader Sadanand Dangan stated on Thursday that there is no confusion or dispute within the party. He emphasized that senior leaders Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar have already made it clear that they will abide by any decision made by the party high command.

Dangan noted that both leaders have consistently reiterated that the decisions made by Congress leadership and Rahul Gandhi will be accepted by all. He asserted that the party is completely united, with no signs of discontent or differences among its leaders. According to him, the Congress government in Karnataka is in a strong position, focusing entirely on the state’s development and the welfare of its citizens.

He also mentioned that the party high command has issued clear instructions that neither Siddaramaiah nor D.K. Shivakumar, nor any other leader, should make public statements regarding power-sharing or leadership changes. Dangan highlighted that Congress General Secretary Randeep Singh Surjewala has also stressed the importance of maintaining discipline on this matter. All party leaders and workers are adhering to these directives.

Dangan remarked that Congress is a disciplined party where decisions are made collectively. He stated, “All party leaders and workers are very disciplined, and there is no doubt about it. Everyone is united, and the party stands together.”

He pointed out that the BJP and opposition parties are attempting to portray confusion and internal disputes within Congress, but the ground reality is quite different. According to him, all major leaders of the party are working together to govern and prioritize the interests of the public.
