New Delhi, June 13: The Congress party has announced the first phase of a nationwide campaign addressing issues like paper leaks, exam irregularities, and unemployment. Congress General Secretary (Organization) K.C. Venugopal revealed that the campaign will kick off on June 17 in Kota, Rajasthan.
In his statement, Venugopal said, “Under the guidance of Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and the leadership of Rahul Gandhi, the party is launching a nationwide campaign against the growing crisis of paper leaks, exam irregularities, unemployment, and the ongoing betrayal of India’s youth by the government.”
He emphasized that Rahul Gandhi has emerged as a trusted voice for students and youth in India. The campaign will feature a series of large student conferences aimed at uniting students, youth organizations, teachers, and all those directly affected by exam scams. The events will begin in Kota on June 17, followed by gatherings in Allahabad on July 10, Patna on July 11, and Delhi on July 14. This initiative aims to highlight the struggles of millions of young Indians whose futures are jeopardized by paper leaks, rising exam costs, and the government’s failure to ensure a fair and transparent recruitment and education system.
Venugopal stated that the nationwide campaign will mobilize students through NSUI, Youth Congress, PCC, DCC, and local units, echoing Rahul Gandhi’s call. The outreach will include physical and digital invitations, campus engagements, discussions at coaching centers, universities, schools, and youth centers, as well as social media campaigns, live screenings, and direct dialogues with students.
The Congress leader noted, “In keeping with Rahul Gandhi’s firm belief that the hopes of young Indians should not be sacrificed due to corruption, incompetence, or political apathy, this movement aims to unite students beyond political engagement and provide a platform for affected youth to share their experiences and demand accountability for repeated exam failures and paper leak scandals.”
He further added, “This movement will bring to the streets the demands previously raised by opposition leader Rahul Gandhi, including the decentralization of NEET, the abolition of exam fees, strict legal action against those involved in paper leak rackets, and accountability at the highest levels of government, including the resignation of the Union Education Minister.”
K.C. Venugopal remarked that by consistently raising these issues, Rahul Gandhi has made the protection of merit, fairness, and equal opportunities for our youth a matter of national importance. Consequently, the Congress party will demand a comprehensive discussion in Parliament on the crisis facing India’s youth and advocate for legislative measures to safeguard their interests, rights, and future.
