CMG Film Culture Carnival Kicks Off in Tianjin

Beijing, August 15: The CMG Film Culture Carnival, themed “Tianjin Special,” was inaugurated on August 14 in Tianjin, China. This event is organized jointly by the China Media Group (CMG) and the local government of Tianjin, under the guidance of the Chinese National Film Administration.

The carnival marks the “2026 Film Economy Promotion Year,” serving as a platform for various innovative activities centered around the “Film+” economy. The goal is to create an engaging film culture program for everyone, enhance consumption capacity, promote consumption upgrades, and empower economic and social development.

During the event, Tianjin will launch several activities aimed at boosting consumption, including discount programs linked to movie tickets and heartwarming public services. The city will also unveil cultural and tourism-themed routes, creating rich new consumption scenarios that integrate culture, commerce, and tourism.

On the same day, the CMG Film Culture Carnival – Tianjin Special fair opened at Chinwan Plaza and the Binhai Cultural Center. This fair will run for seven days.
