CM Yogi Adityanath Celebrates Development in Azamgarh, Highlights Transformation

Lucknow, April 7: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated a newly constructed milk processing center by the Shri Baba Gorakhnath Kripa Milk Producers Society in Azamgarh on Monday. He remarked that previously, people would not even get a room in hotels or dharamshalas when they mentioned Azamgarh, but the situation has changed dramatically now. Today, visitors are welcomed rather than turned away.

During his address, he referenced the grand construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya and questioned whether previous governments could have undertaken such a project, especially those that resorted to violence against devotees. The Chief Minister emphasized the transformative policies of the double-engine government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, portraying Uttar Pradesh as a symbol of a new era of development, respect, and faith.

He sharply criticized the Samajwadi Party, stating that it has limited its development efforts to Saifai and fails to recognize the potential of Azamgarh, which continues to elect its candidates repeatedly. CM Yogi expressed heartfelt congratulations to Neeraj, the chairperson of the milk producer company, and over 56,000 women involved, for achieving what seemed impossible to others. He noted that when a woman becomes self-reliant, her entire family does as well, creating a strong societal backbone. These interconnected families contribute to nation-building and realizing the dream of a developed India. He emphasized the necessity of producer models and women’s empowerment, which he came to witness firsthand in Azamgarh.

The Chief Minister shared that when the milk producer company first reported progress in Azamgarh, there was initial skepticism. However, the collection of 170,000 liters of milk, fair pricing for farmers and livestock owners at ₹55 per liter, and a guarantee of quality without adulteration have proven the model’s success. This initiative is economically empowering farmers and livestock owners, enhancing their participation in nation-building. He highlighted Azamgarh’s historical significance as a land of sages and freedom fighters, questioning the past representatives’ contributions to development.

CM Yogi noted that the construction of the Purvanchal Expressway has reduced travel time from Azamgarh to Lucknow to just two and a half to three hours, down from six hours. Connectivity to Gorakhpur, Varanasi, and Prayagraj has also improved significantly. He criticized previous governments for neglecting historical figures like Maharaj Suheldev and stated that his government has honored them by establishing a university in their name.

In addition to reviving sugar mills, the Chief Minister announced the approval of ₹400 crore for the Tamasa Garden Enclave residential scheme under the urban expansion plan, which will provide affordable housing through the development of over 2,000 plots. The residential scheme will include commercial complexes, parks, open gyms, banks, schools, hospitals, and community centers, ensuring effective security measures. The government has also developed the Azamgarh airport, establishing four-lane connectivity in all directions.

The Baba Gorakhnath Milk Producers Company has emerged as the fifth such entity in the state, exemplifying women’s self-reliance. Since its inception in Jhansi in 2019, over 72,000 women have joined the Balini Milk Producers Company, engaging in the collection and distribution of hundreds of crores worth of milk. Similar companies are operational in Varanasi, Agra, and Lucknow. The current budget allocates ₹200 crore for new milk producer companies in Prayagraj and Bareilly, promoting women’s entrepreneurship and self-reliance.

CM Yogi emphasized the significance of the day as it marks the foundation day of the Bharatiya Janata Party, which has completed 46 years and entered its 47th year. Established in 1980, the party has prioritized national interest over family and regional development, unlike other parties. Under the leadership of revered figures like Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Lal Krishna Advani, and Murli Manohar Joshi, this journey has now positioned the party as the world’s largest political force under Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

He concluded by stating that the development of Azamgarh, Mau, Ballia, and Jaunpur has never been on the agenda of Congress or the Samajwadi Party. If it had been, they could have constructed the Purvanchal Expressway or established a university in Maharaj Suheldev’s name. Development is not part of their agenda, while the BJP’s primary focus is the nation.
