CM Mohan Yadav Honours Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose on His Jayanti in Jabalpur

Jabalpur witnessed a significant event marking the Jayanti of the great freedom fighter Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, where Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav paid tribute to his inspiring life. Speaking at the function, the Chief Minister described Netaji’s life as a source of eternal inspiration for all.

Addressing the gathering at the centenary celebration of Siddhi Bala Bose Library Association, CM Yadav unveiled a statue, noting the day’s special significance. He highlighted that the occasion coincides with the auspicious Basant Panchami festival, dedicated to Goddess Saraswati, the deity of knowledge, and extended his best wishes to everyone on this holy day.

The Chief Minister reiterated the enduring power of Netaji’s famous slogan, “Tum mujhe khoon do, main tumhe azaadi dunga” (Give me blood, and I will give you freedom), stating it continues to evoke patriotism and ignite a spirit of sacrifice and dedication among the youth.

On this occasion, a new 11-foot-high monument made from Dholpur stone was inaugurated. The monument honours the Bengali community’s rich contributions in art, literature, religion, language, and culture over the past 100 years. The Siddhi Bala Bose Library Association, popularly known as the City Bengali Club, has played a vital role in preserving and promoting these cultural traditions. The club holds historic importance, having been visited by Netaji himself, which adds to Madhya Pradesh’s cultural pride.

Furthermore, the Chief Minister unveiled an 8-foot-tall statue of Netaji, symbolising his bravery, courage, and unmatched heroism. This statue is expected to inspire everyone with the legacy of Netaji’s fearless leadership.

CM Mohan Yadav had recently returned from the World Economic Forum 2026 held in Davos and arrived in Jabalpur to participate in this commemorative event. The function was attended by Union Health Minister J.P. Nadda, state government ministers, and other dignitaries.
