Nagpur, June 29: Maharashtra Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule has responded to Uddhav Thackeray, the leader of Shiv Sena (UBT), following Thackeray’s remarks accusing the BJP of being a party that loots the Ram Temple, likening it to Babar’s actions.
Bawankule advised Thackeray to focus on his own party rather than worrying about the BJP. He emphasized that the current state of Thackeray’s party is well-known, with many of its legislators and MPs defecting to other parties. In light of this, Bawankule suggested that Thackeray should stop giving advice and engage in self-reflection.
He further explained that the BJP operates not merely for power but for principles and ideologies, and does not compromise on these values. According to Bawankule, Thackeray has effectively handed over the reins of his party to the Congress, which has left him with little more than the ability to criticize others. He asserted that such criticisms would yield no results for Thackeray.
Bawankule noted that Thackeray seems to be venting his frustrations towards the BJP. However, he pointed out that the public recognizes that only Eknath Shinde’s faction of Shiv Sena can carry forward Balasaheb Thackeray’s principles, which is why they are receiving significant public support.
He concluded by suggesting that it is inappropriate for Thackeray to make disparaging comments about those he has worked with for 25 years. Instead, he should focus on self-improvement and address the shortcomings within his own party.
