New Delhi, 22 December: BJP spokesperson Shahnawaz Hussain commented on the meeting between Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying it was the first time Nitish Kumar visited Delhi after the NDA government formed in Bihar. He described the meeting as very positive and stated that the central government’s treasury is open for Bihar.
Speaking from New Delhi, the BJP spokesperson said the pairing of PM Modi and CM Nitish Kumar has proven to be effective. PM Modi had attended the swearing-in ceremony, and Nitish Kumar came to Delhi for the first time after the oath-taking. The interaction between the two leaders was very good, and Bihar is receiving special attention.
Responding to TMC-suspended MLA Humayun Kabir’s decision to form a new party, Hussain said Kabir is an agent of the TMC. Mamata Banerjee has deliberately facilitated the creation of this new party to create polarization so that Muslim voters unhappy with Mamata do not move to the opposition but remain divided. He claimed this entire script has been written by Mamata Banerjee. The TMC is playing the polarization game and indulging in vote bank politics. The people of Bengal will respond to this.
On the protests against a Bengali singer, the BJP leader said that all decorum is breaking down in Bengal. Artists are not being allowed to perform, as if an Islamic state is being run there. Mamata Banerjee gets agitated over worship or saying ‘Shri Ram’, and now politics is being made even over songs.
Regarding the Maharashtra civic elections, Hussain said the opposition seems to be fading away. The wave that started in Bihar has now reached Maharashtra. BJP has performed excellently. The party has also won in Arunachal Pradesh and is winning in Goa. Wherever elections take place, BJP will emerge victorious.
On atrocities against Hindus in Bangladesh, the BJP spokesperson said the jihadists’ actions should be condemned by Muslims worldwide. These people have defamed Islam. Wearing the Muslim cloak, they are enemies of humanity. The greatest damage has been done to those who truly follow Islam. The situation is grim for Bangladeshis. The Indian government is expressing concern, and Sheikh Hasina has also condemned these incidents.
