Central Minister Chirag Paswan Addresses Rising Fuel Prices and Political Issues

Patna, May 23: Central Minister Chirag Paswan has spoken out regarding the rising prices of petrol and diesel, ethnic politics, and issues related to the examination system. He stated that the country is currently facing a global crisis, and the government is continuously working to manage the situation.

In a media interaction, Paswan mentioned that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has urged citizens to cut expenses and conserve energy wherever possible. He acknowledged that the government had tried to keep fuel prices stable for an extended period. However, due to current global circumstances and war-like situations, maintaining these prices has become unfeasible.

Paswan pointed out that the ongoing tensions between Israel, the United States, and Iran have impacted the global economy. In such conditions, an increase in oil prices is expected. Nevertheless, he expressed confidence that this situation is temporary. As international conditions normalize, inflation and fuel prices should also see relief.

He recognized that the price hikes have placed an additional burden on the common people. However, he assured that the government is making every effort to minimize public inconvenience.

Responding to comments made by Rashtriya Janata Dal leader Tejashwi Yadav, Paswan emphasized that crime should not be viewed through the lens of caste and religion. He stated that in the 21st century, if the youth continue to engage in politics based on caste and religion, it is unacceptable. A criminal is simply a criminal, and those who commit crimes should be punished according to the law.

Recently, opposition leader Tejashwi Yadav raised questions regarding encounters following the swearing-in of the Samrat Chaudhary government in Bihar. He claimed that the Chief Minister was conducting encounters based on caste, questioning when the encounters related to the incidents he mentioned would occur.

Paswan remarked that caste and religious-based politics have persisted in the country for a long time. However, he urged the youth to rise above these issues and adopt politics focused on development and national interest. He warned that divisive politics harms the nation.

Additionally, in response to comments made by the Director General of the National Testing Agency, Abhishek Singh, Paswan noted that irregularities in the examination system are serious issues. He stressed that mere statements are insufficient; thorough investigations and strict actions are necessary. He assured that such incidents will not be tolerated in the future and that the system will be made more transparent and sensitive.
