Celebrate Hanuman Jayanti: Visit These Famous Temples for Blessings and Relief from Struggles

New Delhi, March 31: Across India, temples dedicated to Lord Hanuman, the eleventh Rudra incarnation of Lord Shiva, are abundant. The belief is that Hanuman is immortal and remains present in his original form even in the current age.

It is said that Hanuman is alive in the Kalyug, and wherever the Ram Katha is recited, Hanuman is sure to be present. On April 2, as we celebrate Hanuman Jayanti, we highlight some of the most famous temples across the country where devotees can seek Hanuman’s special blessings.

First on the list is the Reclining Hanuman Temple in Allahabad. This temple is renowned for its unique idol, depicting Hanuman in a reclining posture. It is believed that merely visiting this temple can alleviate all of life’s troubles. During floods in Allahabad, both the temple and the idol are submerged, prompting the idol to be relocated to a safer place.

Next is the Hanumangarhi Temple, a sacred site as it is the birthplace of Lord Rama. Every devotee visiting to see Lord Rama must also visit Hanumangarhi. In the sanctum, Hanuman is depicted in his child form, seated in the lap of Mother Anjani. This is the first temple where Hanuman is worshipped as a child.

Thirdly, we have two notable temples in Rajasthan, where Hanuman is worshipped in different forms. At Salasar Balaji, Hanuman is depicted with a beard and mustache. It is believed that visiting this temple can resolve financial issues. Meanwhile, at Mehndipur Balaji, devotees seek relief from evil spirits and crises. It is said that visiting this temple can help if one is under the influence of negative energies.

Fourth is the Hanuman Dhara Temple in Chitrakoot. It is believed that Lord Balaji himself grants darshan to devotees here. The temple features two kunds that are always filled with water, with a stream continuously flowing over the idol of Balaji, which is why it is called Hanuman Dhara.

Fifth is the Mahavir Hanuman Temple in Patna, the most famous Hanuman temple in the city, receiving the second-highest offerings after the Vaishno Devi Temple. Here, Balaji is worshipped in his form as Sankatmochan. High-ranking officials and politicians from Bihar also visit this temple to seek blessings.

Additionally, devotees can visit the Panchmukhi Anjaneyar Hanuman Temple in Tamil Nadu, the Dholya Maruti Temple in Pune, the Kshatabhajan Hanuman Temple in Gujarat, and the Yantra Uddharak Hanuman Temple in Hampi. Special events are organized at all these temples during Hanuman Jayanti.
