New Delhi, June 6: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has provided significant relief to students following the Class 12 board exam results. In a move aimed at benefiting students, the board has extended the deadline for applications related to the verification of answer sheets and re-evaluation of questions by one day.
Originally, the deadline for applying for verification and re-evaluation was set for midnight on June 6, 2026. It has now been extended to midnight on June 7, 2026.
CBSE stated that this decision was made to offer students additional time and convenience, allowing them to complete their application process without any hassle.
The board has urged all students to pay attention to the revised schedule and submit their applications within the stipulated timeframe. Through the verification and re-evaluation process, students can request a review and reassessment of their answer sheets after receiving their exam results.
This decision from CBSE comes at a time when the board’s post-result services portal is under scrutiny due to investigations into cyber attacks. This is the same portal through which millions of students across the country apply for verification and re-evaluation.
On Friday, the Delhi Police registered an FIR based on a complaint from CBSE. The board had informed the Intelligence Fusion and Strategic Operations (IFSO) unit that several coordinated and technically advanced cyber attacks were attempted to disrupt the portal.
However, officials clarified that there has been no tampering with any data or systems of CBSE. According to the board, multiple cyber attack attempts occurred on the very first day after the portal was launched on June 2 at 7 AM, but the portal remained fully secure and operated smoothly.
