CBI Files Charges Against Builder Company and Directors in Fraud Case

New Delhi, June 8: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has taken significant action in an ongoing investigation into large-scale fraud involving home buyers. The agency has filed a chargesheet against M/s NineX Developers Limited and its directors related to alleged fraudulent activities in a housing project located in Gurugram, Haryana.

The CBI’s investigation revealed that the accused builder company and its directors, under a criminal conspiracy, allegedly misled innocent home buyers and investors through false assurances, misleading statements, and deceptive promises. This resulted in the dishonest financial gain for the accused while causing wrongful loss to the victims.

The investigation has uncovered substantial evidence, leading to the filing of charges under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code concerning criminal conspiracy, fraud, and criminal breach of trust in a competent court.

Currently, the CBI is investigating 50 cases related to alleged fraud and embezzlement of funds involving various builder companies and unknown officials from financial institutions across the country, as per the directives of the Supreme Court.

Previously, the CBI had filed charges against Rudra Buildwell Constructions Private Limited, Dream Procon Private Limited, Jaypee Infratech Limited, AVJ Developers (India) Private Limited, CHD Developers Private Limited, Sequel Buildcon Private Limited, Logix City Developers Private Limited, Manju J Homes India Limited, and Shubhkamna Buildtech Private Limited, along with their directors and certain officials from banks and financial institutions.

The CBI reaffirms its commitment to ensuring accountability in cases related to economic crimes, corruption, and public fraud, particularly those adversely affecting the interests of ordinary citizens and home buyers.
