BPCL Ensures Normal Supply of Fuel in New Delhi Amid Rising Demand

New Delhi, June 8: Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) announced on Monday that the supply of petrol, diesel, CNG, and LPG in New Delhi remains completely normal. The company is ensuring uninterrupted fuel supply in the capital through its robust supply chain and retail network.

BPCL reported that fuel availability at all its petrol pumps in New Delhi is stable. Regular stock replenishment and logistics operations ensure that consumers, businesses, transport operators, and essential services have access to sufficient fuel.

According to BPCL, petrol sales in New Delhi exceeded 27,800 metric tons (MT) during May 2026, up from over 27,100 MT in the same period last year. This marks an increase of approximately 2.5 percent in petrol sales.

Additionally, diesel sales also saw steady growth in May, rising to over 16,500 MT compared to over 16,100 MT in May 2025, reflecting an increase of about 2.9 percent.

The public sector company stated that it supplied over 33,400 MT of CNG during May, meeting the growing needs of Delhi’s public transport network, commercial vehicles, and clean fuel-based transportation systems.

In addition to transport fuels, BPCL is also catering to a large number of LPG consumers in New Delhi. During May, the company supplied over 770,000 domestic LPG cylinders, along with more than 18,000 commercial LPG cylinders and over 22,000 FTL LPG cylinders.

According to the company, the continuously rising demand for fuel and LPG indicates that economic activities, mobility, business operations, and energy needs in New Delhi are steadily increasing.

A BPCL spokesperson stated, “BPCL is fully committed to ensuring reliable and uninterrupted energy supply in New Delhi. Our supply chain and logistics network are operating efficiently, allowing us to maintain adequate availability of fuel and LPG while meeting the changing needs of our customers.”

He added that the company’s petrol pumps and LPG distribution network in New Delhi are functioning normally. Regular product supply, improved inventory management, and coordinated logistics operations have ensured that there are no disruptions in supply.
