New Delhi, October 4 (Daily Kiran) : Shiv Sena spokesperson Sanjay Nirupam recently addressed the murder of Pradeep Purnekar, the rift within the opposition, and the global admiration for Captain Smita Macchar of FlyDubai. He criticized Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for his silence amid rising accolades for Captain Macchar, suggesting that while India is celebrated worldwide, some politicians seem to be struggling with jealousy.
Nirupam stated that the Thane police are conducting an investigation into Purnekar’s murder. He emphasized that only after the investigation concludes will it be clear who was involved and who instigated the crime. He condemned the politicization of this incident by certain factions within Shiv Sena (UBT), labeling their actions as objectionable.
He further noted that if the police investigation reveals no discrepancies, there would be no need for a CBI inquiry. However, if uncertainties remain and Purnekar’s family lacks faith in the findings, they will be allowed to request an investigation from any agency they choose.
Nirupam pointed out the internal conflicts between Congress, leftist parties, and the “Cockroach People’s Party,” as accusations and counter-accusations fly. He highlighted that while Congress leaders are quick to criticize their opponents, they fail to engage with them constructively.
The spokesperson lamented the ongoing infighting among opposition parties, calling it shameful. He referenced recent protests in Mumbai, where the Cockroach People’s Party defied police orders, resulting in legal action against their leaders.
Turning to Captain Macchar, Nirupam expressed pride in her accomplishments, noting that she has brought honor to India on the global stage. He mentioned that leaders from around the world, including Russian President Vladimir Putin and former U.S. President Donald Trump, have praised her efforts. The Israeli Prime Minister also acknowledged her bravery, especially given that many of the passengers she assisted were from Israel.
Nirupam celebrated the widespread admiration for Captain Macchar across the country, stating that even Prime Minister Narendra Modi has spoken with her. However, he criticized Rahul Gandhi’s silence on this matter, suggesting that it reflects poorly on the Congress leader’s character when India’s prestige is enhanced.
He urged Gandhi and the Congress party to extend their congratulations to Captain Macchar and wish her a speedy recovery. Nirupam expressed disappointment that Congress leaders seem unable to appreciate positive developments in the nation, which he described as a narrow-minded attitude.
In conclusion, he reaffirmed Shiv Sena’s commitment to fighting for democracy, the constitution, and humanity, asserting that while India is receiving global accolades, some political figures are consumed by resentment.
