New Delhi, September 14 (Daily Kiran) : The Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) OBC Morcha National President Amar Pal Maurya elaborated on the ‘Seva Sankalp’ campaign during a recent event marking Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 25 years in public life. He emphasized that Modi’s journey from a humble background to a prominent leader reflects his dedication to the nation and the trust placed in him by the public.
The campaign, running from September 17 to October 17, aims to engage various social programs, with active participation from the OBC Morcha. Maurya stated that BJP workers will reach out to different community segments to share information about government schemes and their impacts. This initiative will not be limited to large events; it will also ensure grassroots involvement at the booth and page leader levels.
Different BJP fronts and workers will partake in various social activities. A week of service will coincide with the birth anniversary of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay, featuring cleanliness drives and other programs. Youth organizations and other party branches will also contribute to these efforts.
Highlighting the Prime Minister Vishwakarma scheme, Maurya noted the long-standing presence of traditional artisans in the country who have often lacked recognition and opportunities. The initiative aims to connect these craftsmen across various sectors, enhancing their skills and providing them a platform. Approximately 2.5 million individuals have registered to join this scheme.
Through ‘Seva Sankalp’, BJP workers will reconnect with beneficiaries of government programs to assess the positive changes these initiatives have brought to their lives. Maurya stressed that the party’s goal is to ensure that the benefits of government schemes reach the most marginalized individuals in society. He linked this effort to the philosophy of Antyodaya as envisioned by Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay, emphasizing the importance of extending these programs to rural areas and the underprivileged.
In response to questions about the party’s strategy for women leading up to the 2027 and 2029 elections, Maurya highlighted Modi’s commitment to women’s empowerment. He cited initiatives like self-help groups and the ‘Lakhsapathi Didi’ scheme, which have enabled many women to engage in economic activities and contribute to family incomes.
Maurya also mentioned the Prime Minister Awas Yojana, noting that families without permanent housing have gained security and property ownership, significantly benefiting women. The BJP plans to showcase these positive changes during the ‘Seva Sankalp’ campaign, reinforcing that government initiatives extend beyond just women’s issues. He pointed to the Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi as a crucial program that provides direct financial assistance to farmers.
Regarding the youth, Maurya acknowledged the burgeoning startup culture in India, where many young people are not only seeking employment but also creating job opportunities for others.
He concluded that the ‘Seva Sankalp’ campaign aims to highlight the transformative changes brought about by various government schemes across different societal sectors. By connecting these changes—affecting women, youth, farmers, artisans, and more—the campaign aspires to contribute to the vision of a developed India by 2047, a goal that requires participation from every citizen.
