BJP Questions Rahul Gandhis Protest Tactics Amid Supreme Court Case

New Delhi, October 8 (Daily Kiran) : Pradeep Bhandari, the media co-convener and national spokesperson for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), addressed reporters at the party’s central office in New Delhi on Thursday. He raised concerns regarding Rahul Gandhi‘s recent protests at Rajghat, questioning why the Congress leader is attempting to exert pressure on the judiciary while a related case is pending in the Supreme Court.

Bhandari asked whether the Congress party lacks faith in the courts or if its position is weak based on facts. He condemned the behavior of Congress workers towards a young man during the protests and called on Gandhi to adopt democratic norms and apologize to the nation for the chaos.

He noted that citizens who believe in democracy have been disturbed by the disorder and intimidation displayed by Gandhi and the opposition over the past three days. Bhandari suggested that if Mahatma Gandhi were alive today, he would have guided the Congress party toward better judgment. He expressed hope that the Congress members visiting Rajghat would gain some wisdom regarding democracy.

Bhandari pointed out that the matter related to the Election Commission is currently sub judice in the Supreme Court. He directly questioned Gandhi, asking if his actions on the streets indicate a lack of trust in the judiciary. He speculated whether Gandhi fears that the case is too weak, prompting him to create a public spectacle.

He emphasized that the Supreme Court makes decisions based on facts, not public demonstrations. Bhandari reiterated that if Gandhi truly respected the democratic process, he would refrain from mobilizing crowds to pressure the court.

Furthermore, he challenged the Congress party’s historical governance, highlighting that they have not held chief ministerial positions in several states for decades. Bhandari argued that the public has lost trust in the Congress party, which has resorted to gathering crowds to disrupt democracy.

He concluded by asserting that the Constitution, established by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, dictates that judicial decisions are based on facts, not public sentiment. Bhandari condemned the Congress for allegedly threatening the very foundation of democracy by resorting to intimidation and chaos.
