
New Delhi, September 14 (Daily Kiran) : Prime Minister Narendra Modi celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi by visiting the residence of Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal in New Delhi on Monday. During the visit, Modi participated in the prayers and rituals dedicated to Lord Ganesha, lighting the ceremonial lamp and wishing for the prosperity and well-being of the nation.
Sharing pictures from the event on his official social media account, Modi expressed his gratitude, stating, “I visited Piyush Goyal ji’s residence to seek blessings from Lord Ganesha. May Lord Ganesha shower his grace upon everyone.”
Dressed in traditional Maharashtrian attire, Modi wore a dhoti and kurta, complemented by a traditional cap.
Piyush Goyal also expressed his appreciation for the Prime Minister’s visit on social media, describing it as a privilege for him and his family. He prayed that Lord Ganesha, known as the remover of obstacles, blesses the nation and accelerates its journey towards becoming a developed India.
Earlier, Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan also visited Goyal’s home, where he participated in the rituals and prayed for the happiness, peace, and prosperity of the citizens.
Meanwhile, Home Minister Amit Shah visited several Ganesh pandals in Mumbai, including the famous ‘Lalbaugcha Raja.’ On social media, he shared his experience, stating that he looked forward to the annual blessings from Lord Ganesha, a focal point of devotion for millions. He wished for happiness and prosperity for all citizens, concluding with “Ganapati Bappa Morya!”
Following his visit to the pandals, Shah met with Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde to seek blessings from Lord Ganesha. Several family members of the Home Minister accompanied him during this visit.
