BJPs Humayun Kabir Responds to Bengal Election Results, Criticizes TMC for Corruption

Bahrampur, May 4: Humayun Kabir, the president of the Aam Janata Uday Party (AJUP), has reacted to the results of the West Bengal Assembly elections. He stated that the Trinamool Congress (TMC) has been in power three times but has made numerous poor decisions, leading to rampant corruption in the state. This is why the TMC is facing a loss in these elections.

In an interview, Kabir remarked, “I had already predicted that the BJP would secure more seats than the TMC. I am pleased with the TMC’s defeat. They have oppressed the people and engaged in corruption. They deserved a response, and this time they have received it.”

Kabir further noted, “During its tenure, the TMC accomplished nothing. People have not found jobs. The roads are in terrible condition. The education system is severely lacking. In hospitals, multiple patients are treated on a single bed. Therefore, the TMC deserved this response.”

He added that if the BJP continues to advance in the state, it does not concern him. The people of Bengal have voted for them, indicating that the BJP will win.

During this time, Humayun Kabir claimed victory in the Rejinagar and Naoda Assembly seats, where he is currently leading.

The counting of votes for the two-phase Assembly elections in West Bengal began at 8 AM on Monday. As of Monday, counting is taking place for only 293 out of 294 Assembly seats. The Election Commission reported figures for 291 seats by 1:30 PM. Trends show that the BJP is leading in 194 seats, while the incumbent TMC is ahead in 92 seats.

The All India Secular Front is leading in two seats, and the CPI(M) in one, while Congress remains at zero across West Bengal.
