MP Chief Minister Mohan Yadav Takes Charge Amid Sagar Liquor Scandal

Sagar, September 9 (Daily Kiran) : Chief Minister Mohan Yadav visited Sagar district on September 9, 2026, to assess the situation following a tragic liquor scandal that left many hospitalized. After returning from Dubai, he went directly to the district hospital to meet those seriously ill from consuming toxic alcohol.

During his visit, Yadav gathered information about the patients’ conditions and emphasized the need for proper medical care and facilities. He convened a meeting with local officials and representatives, granting them full authority to take stringent action against those responsible for the incident. The state government is determined not to spare anyone involved.

Speaking to reporters after meeting with the patients, Yadav stated that the administration has been given a free hand to enforce strict measures. He urged officials to take action against illegal activities and coordinate with authorities from bordering states. The CM assured that the government will act decisively to deter any future wrongdoing.

Yadav also highlighted ongoing efforts to promote alcohol prohibition in collaboration with religious and social organizations. He expressed deep concern over the loss of lives, urging political leaders, including the opposition, to unite and address this critical issue without engaging in political rivalry.
