BJP Womens Wing Protests Against Alleged Insult to Prime Minister Modi

Mumbai, May 14: The BJP Women’s Wing and party workers staged a protest in Mumbai on Thursday against the alleged derogatory remarks made by Samajwadi Party MP Ajendra Singh Lodhi about Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Demonstrators gathered outside the district headquarters and the collectorate, chanting slogans and demanding a public apology from the SP MP.

The BJP Women’s Wing members carried placards and banners during the protest. They voiced their support for Prime Minister Modi and accused the Samajwadi Party of breaching political decorum. BJP leaders warned that if the SP MP does not apologize, the movement will escalate further.

Sarika Gupta, president of the BJP Women’s Wing, stated in an interview that using disrespectful language against the Prime Minister is an affront to the entire nation and democratic values.

She said, “The kind of language used against our Prime Minister is extremely shameful. We demand that Ajendra Singh Lodhi publicly apologize, or else the national president of the Samajwadi Party, Akhilesh Yadav, should expel him from the party.”

Nirmala Singh Patel added that BJP workers will not compromise on the respect for the Prime Minister. She accused the opposition of consistently using indecent language for political gain, which the public will not tolerate.

Notably, Ajendra Singh Lodhi, the SP MP from Hamirpur-Mahoba, was in Mahoba on Monday to address issues related to smart meters and other public concerns. It was reported that he made the alleged offensive remarks against Prime Minister Modi while delivering a memorandum at the collectorate with SP district president Shobhalal Yadav and other workers, leading to the controversy.

Following the escalation of the issue, an FIR was filed at the Kotwali Nagar police station in Mahoba based on a complaint by BJP district media in-charge Satyendra Pratap Gupta. The complaint alleges that the SP MP and his supporters conducted a protest and blockade without permission, disrupting traffic and causing inconvenience to the public.

The police have registered the case under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) 2023, including sections 132, 189(2), 352, and 196(1). According to the police, the investigation has been assigned to Sub-Inspector Shivam Pandey, and video footage and other evidence related to the incident are being collected.
